Description

It seems when using the resample/upsample/downsample tool, the sample is always resampled with some interpolation, producing a muffled sound when upsampling. Could there be an option to resample with no interpolation, producing a grainier but clear sound when upsampling?

I would like to add a point to this idea.
Selectable interpolation method(nearest/none included).

I know--I detest interpolation. It kills the brightness on everything. I always turn it off now, except when I really need it, like if I'm using samples with low sample rates that would actually sound bad without it.

r6587 adds all internal interpolation types in addition to the default choice (r8brain) to the resampling dialog.

As always, obtain the latest test builds from https://buildbot.openmpt.org/builds/ (should be up within the next few hours).

There was a bug which could lead to distorted samples when using Cubic resampling or better if the sample was too loud, better wait for r6590.
