Err, Schism's method is not "complex". It literally just interprets the text you enter as bytes, i.e. it does exactly the same thing like OpenMPT's sample draw feature, except that it's more convoluted.
Apart from that, generating basic samples from formulas has been on the to-do list for a long while, there is even a feature request with the exact same title as yours here already, so please do a search next time before requesting new stuff.
