Summary | 0000326: Keyboard shortcut to toggle "Record note off" setting
Description | It would be nice to have a shortcut to toggle whether note offs are recorded in the pattern. You can set the default for this in the settings, but there are times when I would like note offs to be recorded and other times when I would not. For example, if I'm recording a drum pattern, I don't want them to be captured, but if I'm programming a pattern for a synth then of course I would so being able to toggle this setting quickly would be useful.

Has the bug occurred in previous versions?
Tested code revision (in case you know it)
I added two shortcuts: Toggle note off record for PC keyboard and for MIDI keyboard: http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe |

Cool thanks. |

I have a request for a modification to this feature. Currently, when you use the shortcut it also changes the state of the default setting in the "General" tab. Would it be possible to set it up so that the default setting is not affected? This would be more consistent with the way most of the other toggles work. It would also make it easier to keep track of the initial state on startup. Thanks and sorry for being nitpicky. |
|
Actually it is consistent with other options like the overflow paste switch - they do affect the global setting. What you suggest is to rather change the record toggle option into "Record note offs by default", like "Follow song off by default". |
|
Hmm, might still be preferable behavior. Since despite the labeling of the setting, it still effectively works the same way as "Follow song off by default" and "MIDI record" which is also a default setting, but is not specifically labeled as such. |
