Summary0000098: Crossfade cut points
Description

The crossfade is very handy but somewhat limited by the fact that the crossfade fades in to the halfway point of the waveform then fades out from there. I have a long ambient loop that i want to fade in and fade out slowly, but in-between i have a long span of playback that shouldn't be faded.
Instead of doing a symmetrical FI/FO at the 50% mark of the waveform, the user could select the cutoff points to end the fade-in and start the fade out. Perhaps this can be handled in the Amplify dialog.

Uhm, have you actually tried lowering the "samples used for fading" value when applying crossfade? The less samples are faded, the shorter the crossfaded transition is.

Oh, i thought that was a resampling value. Either i misunderstood the note at the bottom of the dialog or applied some speed-reading to it and missed the entire meaning! 8)

OK, if that's already addressed, this can be closed and i'll write it up in the OHM.

Thnaks Jojo!!
