Description

I was making a new piece of music out of sine waves and a custom loop of Skaven's Autonomus v2.0 and made a new pattern when MPT encountered an error. I reinstalled MPT then encountered the error again.

Please upgrade to the latest version (you state that you are using OpenMPT 1.23.04.00, which has been outdated since September) first, and then verify if the current version has the same problem. If it does, it would be helpful to know what kind of error you actually get, and if it's a crash, please provide the crash dump as well.
