Description

Some module is played in a wrong way. Mothergoose from Accord and Deelite - Using the latest available package ibopenmpt-win32-latest.7z from 09-Jul-2014.

Every few seconds you are hearing an annoying beep sound in the tune. Does not happen for example with the standard xmplay playback routines.

Steps To Reproduce

Just play the tune Mothergoose from Accord and Deelite - every few seconds you hear an annoying beep sound which should not be there.

The module needs to be played in ProTracker mode to sound as intended, but right now xmp-openmpt doesn't expose PT mode as a setting. I think it might make sense to heuristically clamp pitch slides like in this tune to the Amiga frequency range if no notes outside the Amiga range are found in the tune.

There is now a heuristic check which enforces Amiga limits on MOD files whose patterns do not exceed the Amiga note limit. You can grab r4607 or later from
http://buildbot.openmpt.org/builds/auto/libopenmpt-win32/
