Description

Whenever I play an S3M file with 4-channels using OpenMPT 1.23.03.00 and earlier, It always goes up to 32000 hertz which is a limitation that cannot be fixed in a long time.

Steps To Reproduce

Find an S3M file with 4-channels and play the song, or just hit the ZXCVB keys on your keyboard at a higher octave to reproduce this bug.

Additional Information

I don't know why this happened to me earlier! Is this true? Then if so, there might be some problems with the S3M files that had 4-channels which cannot be played in OpenMPT. How can this happen?

It's probably an old S3M file with the "Amiga Frequency Limits" option checked in the Song Properties dialog. Can you confirm this?

Yep. I checked Amiga Frequency Limits on and off just to see if it sounds better. I played a wav file with AFL turned on but it still goes up to 32000 hertz. Is there any solution to this?

You have to turn it off or else the Amiga limits (~ 4.1KHz - ~ 31 KHz, i.e. two octaves around 8363 Hz) will stay enforced. You won't have this limitation when turning off Amiga Frequency Limits.
