| Product Version | OpenMPT 1.22.07.00 (upgrade first) | ||||
| Summary | 0000495: SNES Music (SPC) support and ADPCM samples | ||||
| Description | I would like to be able to import ADPCM samples (and if possible, have the MPTM format use them to reduce module size), and I would also like to be able to open SNES music files (such as the Super Metroid soundtrack.) I have attached a 7Zip archive containing the Super Metroid soundtrack, the example I mentioned above. Later, I will send you a RAR archive containing a song from MechCommander 2, in two formats: Standard WAV and its ADPCM coutnerpartfrom the original game. | ||||

SPC is not a module format. Use OpenSPC to convert SPC files to IT files if you really must. Also, there are dozens of variants of ADPCM, many of them (especially those from video games) aren't documented and I cannot implement each and every possible audio codec out there (especially not lossy ones - use lossless samples!). OpenMPT supports one variant of ADPCM of them, you will have to convert the rest to uncompressed WAVs. |
