Summary0000407: instruments loop indefinitely
Description

in the instruments tab, previewing certain instruments that are looped in the samples tab, loop indefinitely even after a key used to preview instrument is released...

Steps To Reproduce

open module,
change instruments for module using xi files on computer in the instruments tab (many I ripped from downloaded modules)
preview an instrument in the instrument tab that loops in the samples tab (one that you loaded with an xi file)

even after you release the key on the keyboard, the instrument continues to play and loop indefinitely until another instrument is previewed

Perhaps the loop or sustain loop function is enabled. If that is not true and the instrument still loops, then it likely is a bug indeed.

Even in that case the instrument would fade out if the key is released. Another possibility is that the key was released while OpenMPT didn't have focus, but that's not a bug.

just checked on one of the problem xi files... fade out is set to 0.. does that mean any thing???

Yes, it means that the instrument will never fade out when you release the key. Hence, not a bug.
