Description

In the XM module "Past" by Lluvia, pattern 24, channel 24, the effect "R04" is used to retrigger the conga samples. OpenMPT's retrigger speed in this case is too fast compared to FastTracker 2 and XMPlay. The speed seems correct, however, after disabling the FastTracker 2 compatible playback mode.

Linked below is a .zip file containing comparison audio between FastTracker 2 and OpenMPT as well as the original XM module file. I played channel 29 in addition to channel 24 when making the comparison audio files, because the hi-hats make it easier to hear the timing of the congas.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Download the zip file containing the XM module and test audio files:

  2. Open the XM module from the downloaded archive.

  3. Solo channel 24 (and optionally 29 for the hi-hats).

  4. Play pattern 24.

There has been some effort to fix the retrigger command lately, and this one seems to be fixed already. Please test this version instead. http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe
