Summary0000358: Export as Wave with adventus vsti plugin problem
Description

When export as wave, Adventus vsti instrument parts of song does not renders to wave. Other samples or vsti plugins (like Drumatic 3 or P8) works fine. Is there any work around? Tested by creating an empty song and selecting adventus vsti to instrument plugin. Some notes to module and no any midi macros used. Sometimes you also have to click Plugin button before Adventus vsti instruments plays notes. Thanks to anyone who can solve this problem.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Empty module
  2. Adventus vsti plugin and instrument for it.
  3. Some notes to module
  4. Export as Wave (default settings on Wave convert dialog).

No difference, what are Wave convert settings.

I downloaded the demo version of said VSTi, exported a two minute sequence to WAV and everything sounded as expected. Can you provide a minimal test case (preferrably just using this plugin and no samples) which reproduces the problem? Please also try upgrading to the latest plugin version to get rid of possible problems.

Thanks for answer. I was a little bit unclear. There are two versions. Adventus DF and Adventus VSTI and VST instruments in generally. Older DF (registed) version does not work. Demo version of VSTI version works me also, but
I ask more about that problem from Softplug.

I can't get any sound out of the Adventus DF demo, neither in OpenMPT nor Renoise. Not during WAV export, and also not during normal playback. I suppose it's not supposed to be that way?

Maybe not. Normal playback works, but it works after when Plugin button is clicked. The button that opens Adventus windows. Maybe some inialization of DF plugin is implement differently.

I have contacted the developer to get some help on this issue. Apparently, the demo version of the plugin does not show its registration screen in OpenMPT and also not in Renoise, but it is shown in MadTracker, so I could get the plugin to work in MadTracker. Let's wait for the developer's reply...

Hi, there's a bug i can't fix for Adventus DF, to make sound, the GUI sould alway be open once to heard Adventus DF sound

Thanks for reply. Maybe I can write song by Adventus VSTi version, which seems to render and its not a problem then at all for me. I wonder it is possible open plugin (Adventus DF ie) window when Export is Save functionality is called? Could that fix or be way a around the problem?

You can keep the plugin window open during export if you want. In fact, OpenMPT doesn't even close it. I am not sure if the export issues are even related to the plugin GUI being open or not, but so far the plugin developer has not been very helpful to help sorting out this issue. To be honest, I'd rather recommend you to use Superwave P8 or Synth1 or something similar for trance sounds. There are countless free alternatives for virtual analog synthesis, and none of them have this problem.
