Not sure of GUI limitations, but what i'm needing is a way to use my "Pass Keys to plugin" shortcut within a plugin window wrapped in, and opened from, a standard plugin window. Here's what i got:

I'm using Chainer and in one slot (in a Chainer channel) you can install a plugin, in much the same way you can with Modplug. The "Pass Keys" shortcut will of course work from this window. Within Chainer you can then open the GUI window of your plugin, in this case, i'm using the SoftDrums VST, which allows you to insert samples into slots and it will tap them out when it receives a message to play the corresponding key. When i go to rename the SoftDrums Channels, i must use "Pass Keys" to this plugin to use text services in this plugin. However, the shortcut does not work from this level. You have to focus back on Chainer (another mouseclick), do the keypress, then focus back on your text field in the child window (more mouseclicks).

Wondering if it's easily possible to allow Modplug's shortcuts to be reached from "grandchild" windows....
