| Summary | 0000218: Start Rows at 1 | ||||
| Description | My brother started using Modplug Tracker yesterday and we talked about music creation (My brother is a music major.). He brought up a good point that makes sense. If rows are trackers' equivalent to a bar on sheet music (as when counting beats (1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4)), it does make sense to start them at one rather than zero. If the zero starting point is derived from use of the hexadecimal, then starting them at one may indeed be odd. Perhaps starting the rows at one will be considered in future builds. | ||||

Row indices start at 0. Period. Changing the row base to 1 would lead to all kinds of other problems in the UI, f.e. what would be the correlation between row indices and a pattern break command (which must still start at 0 for first row)? |
