| Summary | 0001986: Why does BPM not match tempo? | ||||
| Description | I noticed that in OpenMPT, BPM doesn't match tempo for some reason. I was wondering if there is a reason for this. I looked at the Hz and it should be 72Hz for 180BPM. So is OpenMPT Hz not accurate? Is it slightly more than 72Hz? I'm a bit confused as to why this is happening. | ||||

Please read: https://wiki.openmpt.org/Manual:_Song_Properties#Tempo_Mode If you need exact matching BPM, use modern tempo mode. All other tempo modes use integer calculations for the formulas mentioned in that article, and that leads to rounding errors. |
