Summary0000192: Zebra plugin plays different note at each note on
Description

While experimenting with u-he's Zebra plugin, i noticed that occasionally the plugin would begin playing random notes when i used my PC keyboard to preview or enter a note. For example, if i pressed the key for C-5, it might play an F-4, or A#6, etc, and it did this for any keypress, as if the Sample Map had gotten caught in a jumbling loop. I could tell it wasn't a problem with the preset because it did the same thing no matter what preset i used.

Setup:
The plugin was assigned to an instrument directly, not thru Chainer for example, and i was using an arpeggiated preset.
Possibly relevant settings: Channel Reset on Loop = off, Sample Map = default, other Instrument settings = default

Steps To Reproduce

Here's what i tried to replicate the bug:
Clicked on all the Play buttons and the stop buttons before, during, and after playback.
Ran the song thru the end in case there was a problem with resetting the VSTi.
Stopped the song in the middle of playback.

Unfortunately i couldn't figure out what triggers it. Possibly one of ModPlug's controls, or maybe something to do with the Loop Pattern setting.

If 1.19.04 included plugin fixes, let me know and i'll upgrade AGAIN..

Additional Information

Workaround:
I tried clicking the Stop button to see if the oscillators needed to be reset, but that didn't work.
I found the only way to solve the problem was to close and re-open the module.

Has the bug occurred in previous versions? Not sure.
Tested code revision (in case you know it)

Cannot reproduce this, assuming that you mean the Zebra2 plugin. Please try to reproduce this with a fresh module only using the Zebra plugin. If that doesn't yield any results, remove any other plugins, instruments, samples from your problematic tunes until the problem doesn't happen anymore, and then check what has possibly caused the issue.

Yes, i didn't notice it till i got home, but it is Zebra2.

It may have a problem with the mono/poly setting or arpeggiation on Zebra -- i'm still trying to narrow it down. I'll report here if i can find something...

UPDATE:
Also found this bug appears randomly when loading into Reaper. Something having to do with Start and Stop or the GUI window is causing it, and it is not necessarily with an arpeggiated preset.

Since the problem extends beyond MPT, and probably deals more with Zebra's code, feel free to close this.

I will, however, be writing this up in the OHM....

You should contact the Zebra author in that case.
