Summary | 0001820: Mute/unmute keyboard shortcut per-channel
Description | If there was a way to mute/unmute channels with a keyboard shortcut it would make it much easier to use OpenMPT live. Example: ctrl-1 could toggle mute on channel 1, ctrl-2 toggle mute on channel 2, and so on, up to 10 channels. Maybe a key could be used to switch "banks", like ctrl-tilde. Not sure about these exact keys, but some way to easily mute/unmute a particular channel would be great. Use case: playing live with OpenMPT on loop. Probably related: https://bugs.openmpt.org/view.php?id=335

Maybe it would make sense to have this relative to the current pattern display, e.g. if the leftmost visible channel is channel 5, then the first shortcut would toggle channel 5, the second shortcut channel 6 and so on. But this would of course mean that those shortcuts must be specific to the pattern editor, while more "static" shortcuts could have acted as global shortcuts as well. |

Thanks for looking at my feature request. Yeah that could work. Although figuring out which channel button to press might be difficult if you are doing it in a live situation. Either or both implementations would work for me! |
