Description

for recording notes by playing the computer keyboard, ability to hit a key to change octaves (don't know what key it is if this is already in there, because there's no help!)

I Would like also this feature, change active octave, but I was living with "Transpose +/-12" shortcut in pattern editor. Please consider this ;D

I found that octaves are already there (by experimentation). keys 1-9 and maybe 0 too. the + and - do something entirely different in the pattern editor depending on whether it's the number keypad or not. - keypad seems to zap the whole pattern. + brings it back. so maybe they are cut and paste.
tried pgup/pgdn. I found out there is a pdf manual available, but it is not available as a chm built into the program like it should be.

I should say that the number keys above the letters MODIFY a note that you are on.

By simply going through the list of available keyboard shortcuts, you could have found out that this feature already exists. There are both "Previous octave" and "Next octave" at the bottom of the "Global keys" list in the keyboard setup.
