System configuration

  • OS: Linux Mint 21.1 (Cinnamon) 64-bit
  • Wine: 8.1 staging 64-bit

Issue

The OpenMPT Patterns UI is very small (See screenshot) and hard to read

Note:

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Set screen scaling in Display settings to 125% (at screen resolution 1920x1080)
  2. Open winecfg -> Graphics -> Screen resolution -> Set to 168 dpi (I only have tested 168 dpi)
  3. Open OpenMPT
  4. Open any compatible tracker file or create new
  5. Click on patterns-Tab
  6. You should see the issue

OpenMPT determines an appropriate pattern font size to use on first start, but if you choose to use a higher DPI later on, the setting won't be updated. In the Display settings, you can try using one of the "x2" variants of the built-in pattern fonts, or choose a custom font at a desired font size.
