Description

When clicking "Install Now" it takes verify signature and got failed "Error installing update: Signature Verification failed." [Black Knight Roar sound•]

This issue when updating build from 18623 to 18649

That's rather strange.

I am assuming you did not change the settings [Update]SigningKeysRootAnchors. If you changed it, signature verification would fail of course.

Are you able to access/download https://update.openmpt.de/update/signingkeys.jwkset.json and/or https://demo-scene.de/openmpt/update/signingkeys.jwkset.json with a Web Browser?

Are you able to access/download https://builds.openmpt.org/builds/auto/openmpt/pkg.win/1.31/OpenMPT-1.31.00.23-r18649-Setup.update.json and https://builds.openmpt.org/builds/auto/openmpt/pkg.win/1.31/OpenMPT-1.31.00.23-r18649-Setup.update.json.jws.json with a Web Browser?

Do you have a flaky or unstable internet connection that might have corrupted or interrupted a download?

I will verify updating between these 2 versions myself, however I first need to setup a test VM, which will take some time.

Ok, since r18625, the keyid is missing in the generated update information.

That's not good.

Fixed in r18651 .

Updating to r18651 / 1.31.00.24 should work again.

Please report back if it still fails.
