Summary0000915: Option: Preview the sound when CTRL is pressed
Description

Hello, I'm trying to use OpenMPT on a very small laptop and for accessibility, I want to avoid keyboard notes.

My questions:

-Is it possible to make an option for when you press CTRL (as default), the sound is previewed/looped to ear the current note for faster note placement with + or -?

-And when CTRL is pressed down on an empty case, put the same note than the previous edited.

We using this feature in LSDj tracker on GameBoy and it's very very fast for melody making.

For part one of your request, there are several options:- Bind "Play Row" to Ctrl.- Activate "Play notes when transposing" in the general settings. This requires a recent test version of OpenMPT, the current stable version does not support this feature yet. You can obtain test versions from https://buildbot.openmpt.org/

Ok, It works but When i change note, it keep looping previous. So i ear multiple sounds.

As of r7546, notes should no longer stack up after transposition.

Works. But need to release the note when CTRL is released, i need to STOP to release the note.
I think the best solution is Previewing the sound when CTRL is down, not only if you change transpose

And it preview sound only if instrument/sample is defined in case. (I think it should be hard to change that)

It's possible to have an option for the 2nd feature?
