Summary0000384: playback glitch in "The Search for Life" by AcidSoul (XM module)
Description

In the XM module "The Search for Life" by AcidSoul, OpenMPT's playback sounds very strange in pattern 10, channels 1 & 2. Linked below is a .zip file containing comparison audio between FastTracker 2 and OpenMPT as well as the original XM module file. XMPlay's playback matches that of FastTracker 2. Disabling the FastTracker 2 compatible playback mode in OpenMPT doesn't solve the problem (it actually makes it worse).

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Download the zip file containing the XM module and test audio files:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8126161/TheSearchForLife-Bug_Test.zip

  2. Open the XM module from the downloaded archive.

  3. Solo tracks 1 & 2.

  4. Play pattern 10.

Tremor should now be closer to FT2's behaviour. http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe

The tremor rhythm sounds correct now. The only difference I currently notice is that FastTracker II uses considerably more ramping with this effect. If I set OpenMPT to use 200 samples for ramping in and out, then this effect sounds identical to FastTracker II.

Yes, FT2 uses an insanely long ramping slope (not only for tremor). There might be some kind of FT2 emulation mode that takes this into consideration at some point.
