Summary0000314: Hanging Upon Sample Movement
Description

It is excellent that the samples and instruments can be rearranged within the tree; however, it seems that, when moving samples, the application hangs after the fourth sample movement.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Create a new module.
  2. Insert at least four samples (more is recommended).
  3. Move four of them.
Upon moving the fourth sample, the application should hang and need to be terminated.
Additional Information

This happens neither within the Instruments group nor within the Samples group if instruments are present.

I can't reproduce this; Is this exactly the steps you are doing, i.e. is there no other things you do (like starting playback) that you didn't mention? Does it happen with the latest testing version (http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe)? If it does, you might have to create a memory dump for me.

I did play one row. However, it also occurs when nothing is playing. I downloaded the file provided in your post. Yes, it does happen with that version. How do I create a memory dump?

Please proceed as described in this post:
http://forum.openmpt.org/index.php?topic=4736.msg38256#msg38256 - do not forget the footnote about 64-Bit systems.

I was able to reproduce the issue after a while now as well (seems to be related to the sample undo buffer); I don't think that I still need a memory drump.
