Summary | 0000210: Two VST instruments not loading their parameters unless I click play or play a note
Description | When loading .IT files, two VST instruments I have do not load their parameters unless I click play or if I manually play a note with the VST. They remain on the defaults the VSTs have when loaded into a song for the first time. That is, aurally. Visually, they appear to be set up just how I left them. I tend to close files and re-open them before exporting, to clear out any fading notes, etc. still in the audio buffer. This problem happens with Rez v3.0 http://www.ugoaudio.com/plug-ins/rez Notably, SUPERWAVE P8 1.6 doesn't have this problem.
Steps To Reproduce |
| ||||
Additional Information | This does not happen in Psycle (1.8.6.1, 1.8.8 RC1), so I am unsure it is a VST bug.

Has the bug occurred in previous versions? | Also occurs in 1.18.03.00, 1.17.02.48, and haven't tried any interim versions
Tested code revision (in case you know it)
Strange issue, but so far I can't see why it happens. :\ |

As a workaround, you can assign the proper MIDI Program / Bank numbers to your mod instruments, so if a mod instrument is assigned to an P8 instance that should play P8's second patch, you'd set the MIDI Program of that mod instrument to 2. I think those plugins don't process program changes while they're suspended, but I'm not 100% sure yet. |

I opened a related thread on KVRAudio, just for reference: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=338756 |
|
The cause for the problem has been found and a fix will be provided soon. |

Cool to hear. :) |
|
Ok revision 1230 / OpenMPT 1.20.00.81 should fix it. Enjoy! http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe |
|
I did a quick try of P8 and Rez, and indeed, it is fixed. |
