Why would you ever assume that the old ModPlug Player is correct? It is completely off-key, because it does not support UltraTracker auto portamento, which OpenMPT on the other hand does support. Please do not report bugs because something sounds different in ModPlug Player. The only valid comparison is against the original tracker, and I don't notice anything being particularly different in UltraTracker compared to OpenMPT.

Reporting bugs against OpenMPT because it plays things differently than ModPlug Player is like asking a renovator to make the straight walls in your new house crooked, because the walls in your old house were crooked.

ModPlug Player plays many files incorrectly. I spent the last 18 years trying to fix most of that. If something sounds different in OpenMPT, you can be 99% sure that it's correct that way. Bugs happen, but most of the time the changes are intentional.

I already told you that the only valid comparison is against UltraTracker. Why do you keep thinking that OpenMPT is the one that is wrong and that no matter what, ModPlug Player or OpenCP must be correct, both which, compared to OpenMPT, have seen no or little maintenance in the last 25 years? Why do you report this bug against OpenMPT, where all notes are in tune, while the notes are clearly detuned in OpenCP? The pitch is WRONG in both ModPlug Player and OpenCP, isn't it obvious? I'm tired of your bullshit. Download DOSBox and UltraTracker and play the file in there for comparison.

Why you do you think this is nonsense ? You offer test this on UltraTracker for DOS , I tested this on version 1.6 for DOS and result https://disk.yandex.ru/d/chSN-aRoCZ728Q this that very place where I hear bug

Please point out where the UltraTracker recording differs from OpenMPT output, because I hear no obvious differences.

So one of the lead instruments stops playing while the other one keeps playing. This is a completely different bug than what you initially reported. Fixed in r25232.
