Apart from the obvious benefit for plugin users, we need support for send effects for example to support Chorus and Reverb in IMF files, or for my unfinished SKM loader. The most difficult part, which is not clear at all yet, will be how to integrate this into the existing UI. How can we add the information for one or more send effects in addition to the existing insertion effects to places like channel configuration, the pattern editor and the instrument editor?
