Summary | 0001863: Stream export --- Fade-out option
Description | Due to the fact that most songs from video games with module soundtracks don't loop rather gracefully (mainly due to repeating at a later position than the first one) when exported to an audio file, and also (more importantly) the fact that it would be rather jarring to have a track suddenly CUT to the next one in a playlist, it'd be pretty nice if there was a fade-out option in the Stream Export window that has the resulting audio file of a song fade out (preferably during the first position/the restart position of the song when it repeats after the end). The simplest way I can think of to implement this would be to have a "Fade out at first position after song repeats for the last time" option in the Stream Export menu. (should probably be greyed out when "Repeat [number] times" is less than 2). There could be ways to give the user more control over the fade-out, but I'd rather not try to get into those... This feature might not be very useful to musicians (and it wouldn't have any use for modules that have a fade-out "built in", but that's beside the point). I'm primarily thinking of people who export module files used in video games into conventional audio formats to compile into a playlist. If I haven't articulated any part of this report well enough (or if any part sounds odd), please let me know and I'll try to clarify to the best of my ability. :-)
