Summary0001782: Can't remove plugin from instrument
Description

If an instrument has a plugin assigned, setting it to "no plugin" does nothing and will still keep it assigned.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. go to the instruments tab and assign a plugin to an instrument.
  2. unassign it by choosing "no plugin".
  3. you will still hear the plugin. additionally, if you switch to another instrument and back, you will see the plugin is still assigned.

seems to affect all formats.
