| Summary | 0001746: Option to override per-song row highlight setting | ||||
| Description | This may be just specific to me, but when writing music in OpenMPT I like having the row highlighting completely consistent regardless of time signature - which effectively means never changing the per-song rows/beat value. However this also means that in modern tempo mode I often need to use absurdly high tempos to get the speed I want, which occasionally causes issues with VSTs and such (for example, if I want to maintain row highlights of 16 and 4, but for tempo purposes want 8 rows per beat, I have to double the tempo instead of just setting the rows/beat to 8). If it would be simple to implement I would basically like a config option to override the per-song row highlight setting with what is set by default in the Display settings tab (even just a flag buried away in the Advanced tab would work for me). Of course a more complex option would be to have a separate setting under the Song Properties for row highlighting which would override the tempo setting, but that is probably overkill. | ||||

Yeah, that should be doable as a hidden / advanced setting. |

I've added a new hidded setting |

Gave it a quick test today - exactly what I was looking for, thank you! |
