Summary | 0001677: Make Parameter Editor titlebar show which Effect/parameter you're editing
Description | Something I find myself doing a lot in OpenMPT.. I double click a PCs command to see what FX and parameter is being modified (you can't tell by just looking at it). Then I select the column and open Parameter Editor ALT + B. Parameter Editor window says "Parameter Editor" in the titlebar, it doesn't mention anywhere in the window what you're adjusting. Seems like it wouldn't be hard to change the window's title text to say:

As of r18908, the greyed-out effect type dropdown now provides a list of plugin parameters for the first plugin encountered in the selection. I'm not sure if adding the plugin name in addition to that to the window title would such a good idea, since it might give the impression that all displayed points belong to that plugin - but they might in fact be PC events belonging to a different plugin. You can try the improved version in a few hours by either downloading it from https://builds.openmpt.org/builds/ or by setting the update channel in OpenMPT to "Development". |
