I would appreciate having the text and/or background of each instrument colored (note, effects, sound-space), in a color of the user's choice. Not only would it perhaps be helpful during composing, but it would be nice to see imported old MODs, who often use instrument/sample-switching in the track/channel. it would be like a static visualizer. At one glance one could get a fast overview of a song.
