And what exactly are your objections against the split view? I find it very handy. |
I agree. I'm adjusting the sample list pane constantly. And since all my samples are marked off in different folders, i can easily navigate between folders with the folder tree in a separate pane from the folder contents list. The only way i'd agree to combine them is if you could opt out to the current version. |
It just doesn't need to be there. If I'm on the top window , I can't even "tab" down to the bottom window. It would be faster. I wouldn't have to use the mouse/trackpad. This in combination with the ability to preview samples while a module is playing would be great. |
How about just get rid of the hardrives? |
Well to maybe explain it simpler. I would like it to be like the file browser in Ableton. The hard drives are not the issue in the modplug browser, its how the folders work. It should all just flow, instead of having it separated. |
I can't even "tab" down to the bottom window. It would be faster. I still don't like the idea of changing the treeview layout, but it is now possible to "tab" between the two treeview parts. You can try the current OpenMPT test build. Maybe this is good enough for your workflow? http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe |

No feedback -> I'll just assume that the improved navigation features (alphanumeric keys for jumping around in the tree + tab for switching between views) are sufficient.. |
