The horizontal row select feature is nice, but there could also be a vertical one. Sometimes you just want to select the notes, or just the effects for a single channel.

The functionality would be to select just a certain column (note, effects and so on) for a certain channel.

This new feature could either be at the top of the patterns below the effect... thingy, or in the right click menu. If in the menu, it could be a context sensitive select, where if you had a note selected it would select all of the notes on that channel. If an effect (and its value) is selected, select all of those and so on.
