Summary | 0000341: Compress columns
Description | When using sample-based instruments which mimic acoustic timbres, such as a nylon guitar, i often separate the strings into separate channels for sustained notes. For example, playing an E4 and A4 on their respective open strings means they must be played in separate channels. When creating this sort of arpeggiation, sometimes i want to combine all the given channels into one (esp. for testing, or for applying a interpolated command). We have Shrink Rows and Expand Rows functions, but what i need is a Shrink/Expand Channels function, which i would be using about as often as i use Shrink/Expand Rows. This function would NOT delete channels but simply combine all the data into one. Perhaps user options would allow for shrinking to first or last selected channel, as well as how to override data found in the same row.
