Description

I would like to at least play/pause and quit the openmpt123 player, but currently I do not see a possibility how to do this. I have a media buttons which I could use for this. I tried to use a fifo with the player, but it did not work.

Could you please add a support for the remote control for the OpenMPT123 player?

This is currently (and in the foreseeable future) very low priority for me.

I will probably take patches if someone wants to invest time on something in this area though.
In any case, it might make sense to look into such remote control protocols that are used by other players (in particular mplayer/mpv/mpg123). I have not looked at any of these in detail at all.

r19052 / 0.7.0-pre.22 adds --assume-terminal which allows skipping the tty check that currently prevents openmpt123 from working in your situation. This should allow you to build some very basic remote control functionality around the current keyboard controls.

That's the best I can provide for now.

Thanks for that change. It is more than enough for me to use FIFO to control the openmpt123 player. :)
