Summary0000138: Severe Popping/Crackling When using jBridge with Kontakt 3
Description

When using jBridge with Kontakt 3, I experience severe popping/crackling when playing any sample. This occurs under light load, with CPU usage never exceeding 7%, and voices never exceeding 4.

Resulting audio with different buffer lenghts:

http://craigalbert.com/jbridge-sound-test-50ms.mp3
http://craigalbert.com/jbridge-sound-test-10ms.mp3

Steps To Reproduce

-Use jBridge to create a bridged version of the Kontakt 3 VST plugin.
-Load the bridges VST into ModPlug.
-Load any sample into Kontakt 3.
-Setup an instrument to use the bridged Kontakt 3 VST plugin.
-Play a note.

Additional Information

jBridge is a bridging VST plugin that hosts VST Plugins in their own executable outside of the host. It can bridge between any 32-bit or 64-bit host, to any 64-bit or 32-bit VST plugin.

Does this also happen with other plugins in jBridge? Does it also happen with the latest test version (http://sagagames.de/stuff/mptrack.exe)?

It seems that jBridge is or was not able to handle VST hosts that send varying amounts of audio data to the plugin to be processed. Search in this thread for "Psycle" to see that OpenMPT is not the only application with this problem: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/printview.php?t=244999&page=7

The comment by the jBridge author suggests that there is a fix for jBridge and after a quick test with the current jBridge version in OpenMPT, it does indeed seem to be the case that this fix has since been applied.
