| Description | We have 3 buttons for pattern detail toggle when one could do the job just as well and would be simpler. I have created two versions for the suggested button and I will attach them here and include the gimp file too. I have designed them to look very close to some of the buttons we presently have in the pattern editor. ~ I admit I have motives behind freeing up the space in the pattern editor, namely I want to suggest we make another toggle for selection settings there (a similar one to the one suggestion I am going to put forward here would be perfect with the stuff coloured instead of black) - but I will post that in a separate suggestion. | ||||

What would be more important (and I thought there was an issue for it but I couldn't find it on first try) would be to redesign this complete feature to allow columns to be toggled individually (which couldn't be done easily with a single button, unless there was a dropdown menu next to it). For example the medium detail level is barely useful, especially when composing in MOD format, where it would make more sense to hide the volume column instead of the effect column. |
