Summary0001034: Keyboard shortcuts for Next + Previous Pattern do not work during playback
Description

By default, OpenMPT has the + and - keypad buttons set to "Next Pattern" and "Previous Pattern", respectively. For the most part, it works. However, if you have a pattern selected in the pattern bar and press + or -, it will modify the selected pattern's number- which is unwanted. To get around this, I rebinded Next and Previous pattern to my F3 and F2 buttons. This works great BUT.. OpenMPT will not allow you to skip to next or previous pattern during playback. It only works when playback is stopped. The only way I've found to change pattern during playback is to click on the pattern.

Could we add the functionality so the user can go to Next or Previous pattern using keyboard keys during playback? I think this would be super helpful in my workflow. Maybe others have encountered this as well :]

I think what you actually want is "Previous Order" and "Next Order". Since playback is always bound to the current order position, "Next Pattern" and "Previous Pattern" do not make sense semantically during playback.
