Summary | 0001031: MIDI Input Devices don't show up
Description | MIDI Input Device dropdown list is empty even though there are MIDI devices present in system. ModPlug Tracker 1.16.207 detects them perfectly. I have tried utilities other than MIDI Yoke but no luck whatsoever.
Steps To Reproduce | Launch OpenMPT with input MIDI device(s) connected to the system. Go to View > Setup > MIDI and try to choose a device from "MIDI Input Device" dropdown list.
Additional Information | Haven't found any complaints about this issue on the Internet. It may be only present on specific system configurations.

Has the bug occurred in previous versions? | Yes (All the versions of 2017 at least)
Tested code revision (in case you know it)
The code that lists the MIDI input devices has not changed at all between MPT 1.16 and current OpenMPT versions. However, so far a lot of similar issues where stuff that used to work no longer works was the fault of other programs not being compatible with Windows 10, so in this case MIDI Yoke could be problematic (the way OpenMPT enumerates MIDI devices is correct). To verify this, you can try enabling compatiblity mode for an older Windows version in the properties of mptrack.exe. |
|
Uh, random idea - MIDI Yoke is not available as a 64-bit driver, is it? If you use the 64-bit version of OpenMPT, then it's no wonder that you cannot see it. Using the 32-bit version should help with MIDI Yoke at least. MPT 1.16 is only available as a 32-bit application obviously, so you would be able to see MIDI Yoke there. |
|
It's most definetly problem with MIDI Yoke being 32-bit. I installed 32-bit version of OpenMPT and now MIDI works perfectly. Thank you! I guess I'm closing the issue. |
